Allen-Bradley
Allen-Bradley is a well-known brand under Rockwell Automation, specialising in factory automation equipment like PLCs, sensors, drives, and software. Founded in 1903 as the Compression Rheostat Company, it was renamed Allen-Bradley in 1910. The company grew significantly, reaching $1 billion in sales by 1985, and was then acquired by Rockwell International for $1.651 billion—the largest acquisition in Wisconsin history. Now headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, it plays a central role in Rockwell Automation, which also offers repair and asset management services. A notable landmark is the Allen-Bradley Clock Tower, featuring the largest four-sided clock in the Western Hemisphere.
